End greyhound racing

The ultimate goal of the Coalition for the Protection of Greyhounds is the planned phase-out of greyhound racing throughout Australia.

The global campaign to end greyhound racing is gaining momentum. NZ has shut it down while Wales and Scotland have passed legislation to end it. Tasmania is close to a phase-out, while most other Australian states have established inquiries and reviews.

Greyhound racing has shown it cannot be reformed. Our campaigns highlight the ongoing failures of the industry, including dangerous tracks, failed rehoming, declining animal welfare standards, public funding, self-regulation, criminal activity, and so on.

It’s only a matter of time before greyhounds are no longer exploited by global gambling firms and are free to live as true companion animals.
