End greyhound racing Australia-wide

The campaign to end greyhound racing is building momentum across the world with a dramatic shift in the attitude of mainstream political parties. Most recently there has been cross party support for ending greyhound racing in New ZealandWales and now Tasmania

The Australian greyhound racing industry continues to mislead the public about the extent of deaths and injuries, the ongoing abuse and neglect and just how much this cruel industry costs the Australian community.

The Q racing complex cost taxpayers $44m, Victoria could save $50m a year over the next 10 years if it ends greyhound racing, Australians lose $31.5 billion annually through gambling. And all this is built on the suffering and death of greyhounds.

US. WALES. NEW ZEALAND. TASMANIA. HELP KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING

There’s not many places left that allow the cruelty of commercial greyhound racing. It’s almost over in the US. And now New Zealand, Wales and Tasmania have listened to their community and moved towards a ban.

Please tell your MP it’s time that your state follows their lead and ends this cruel, violent and wasteful industry.

Thank you for speaking up for greyhounds

Thank you for taking action on behalf of the thousands of greyhounds who suffer at the hands of the Australian greyhound racing industry every year.

This is Jeffrey, his story features on our Tales of Hope page. Jeffrey's story is a familiar one of cruelty and neglect.

His wonderful rescuer Alee Li Gibbs says "Everyone needs to fight for these dogs. My three have brought me nothing but happiness. Justice needs to be served for Jeffrey and every other greyhound out there."
