New polling shows that the majority of Queenslanders want to end greyhound racing.
Our friends at GREY2K USA Worldwide commissioned polling in February 2026, looking at Queenslanders’ attitudes to greyhound racing.
They found that:
66% of Queenslanders think that greyhound racing should be phased out or banned.
64% of people think that Queensland Parliament should vote to phase out greyhound racing.
70% of people oppose the Queensland Government spending over $50 million to fund greyhound racing every year.
There are similar levels of support for a phase-out between Brisbane (62%) and regional Queensland (61%).
43% of people would be more likely to support a political party that plans to phase out greyhound racing.
Help us send a message to the Queensland Government: Queenslanders are fed up with the cruelty, the deaths and the waste. Enough is enough. It’s time to end greyhound racing.
