How do we get over to your side?

As more and more greyhounds are rescued from the racing industry, they are seen as family companions like most other dog breeds. They are recognised as a low maintenance and gentle breed deserving of a family home like the loved dogs seen in the image above.

Unfortunately, too many greyhounds bred for the racing industry are severely injured or die on tracks around Australia.

Greyhound racing participants use a PR slogan stating “we love our dogs”. What they are really referring to is the care that goes into trying to train a successful racer.

The reality is that once a prize-winning greyhound is too slow to make money for industry participants and punters, that care dissolves into an existence with minimal care, sometimes complete neglect, as you would expect when a commodity loses its value.

Clearly, greyhounds are exploited, not loved by the industry.

They really do deserve to be on the loved side don’t you think?
