Race video censorship

The greyhound racing industry tries to hide the cruelty of the racetracks by censoring race videos. Images of falls and injuries are removed from the video record to create a false picture of what is, in reality, a brutal and cruel industry.

This tactic is just part of a broad marketing and PR campaign that aims to preserve the industry’s social license by dishonesty and manipulation.

The list below shows the latest examples of race video manipulation.

Most of these are now done by Greyhound Racing NSW. What would racing minister Davis Harris think, whose NSW State Government proclaims it is committed to “open government principles” that include “transparency”.
