We’re looking for a volunteer Instagram Coordinator to join our fight for a ban on greyhound racing in Australia. Help us share the real stories behind the industry façade, and be part of a dedicated community of activists and experts.
- The role
Supported by our Social Media Manager and fellow Instagram Coordinator, you’ll have the freedom to use your creativity and initiative to help us grow and leverage our Instagram presence in a collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for a social media/marketing student or recent graduate, or someone who meets the essential criteria below.

- you’re passionate about animal welfare,
- you love instagram, and
- you’re able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 hours per week on an ongoing basis*.
* we will prioritise applicants who can commit to at least six months due to the resources involved in onboarding new people.
- Essential skills, knowledge and experience
- Create Instagram posts (including captions) and stories using content from our research, news, blog, and Facebook posts.
- Create memes (we use Canva) and source natural images to use in our static posts.
- Contribute to our Instagram engagement strategy (like and reply to comments, respond to DMs, engage with our followers and partners).
- Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Create Instagram Reels.
- Contribute to our Instagram strategy through ideas and knowledge.
- Report on metrics to share significant data with the team and plan future content.
- Create a hashtag strategy that is based on recent recommendations.
- Be across the latest Instagram updates and trends.
