Stand up for greyhounds this Federal election

Our Federal representatives need to take a stand against greyhound racing this Federal election.

This year alone, 31 greyhounds have been killed on racing tracks around the country and there have been 2979 greyhound injuries. While racing legislation sits with the state governments, the Federal government could be working with all states and territories for a nationwide ban on greyhound racing.

While we’re in the middle of a cost of living and housing crisis, millions of dollars in public money is given to the greyhound racing sector.

Between 2016 and 2023, around 2,000 greyhounds were exported from Australia. Exporting puts greyhounds are risk of abuse and neglect, and greyhounds have ended up in facilities with poor welfare standards. The Federal government could stop this.

Write to your Federal representative to let them know that you’re fighting for an end to greyhound racing, greyhound export and greyhound suffering. Ask them where they stand, and call on then to support an end to greyhound racing.
